A leisurely day exploring the colourful seaside village of Myrtos with Carolyn. Bougainvillea-covered streets, delicious moussaka by the sea and an evening of raki and laughter in Ferma remind me that slowing down is often the best way to appreciate life's simple pleasures.

A walk towards Milonas Waterfall takes an unexpected turn as Carolyn and I follow winding mountain paths, encounter a few dogs and eventually find peace beside the sea at Ferma. A gentle reminder that sometimes the journey itself is enough.

A peaceful escape to Vai Beach, where swaying palm trees meet golden sand and turquoise waters. Carolyn and I discover the beauty of slowing down, lingering a little longer and allowing ourselves to enjoy the simple gift of stillness.

What began as a peaceful day exploring ancient Crete and Vai Beach became a heart-racing mountain adventure. Lost on rocky roads, facing frightening cliffs and encountering six enormous dogs, Carolyn and I discovered courage, laughter and a new appreciation for finding our way home.

A colourful day exploring Matala's famous sea caves, vibrant murals and beautiful coastline. From fresh fish beside the Libyan Sea to winding mountain roads and an evening of friendship at Oleander Garden, I discover the joy of trusting myself and welcoming new connections.

From a hilariously tiny parking space to delicious seaside moussaka, Carolyn and I discover another side of Heraklion. An unforgettable evening of traditional Cretan dancing, music and laughter reminds me that happiness often comes from saying yes to new experiences.
