Born from a love of travel, family, storytelling and the simple moments that make life meaningful, Hapkinful has grown into a world of books, adventures, clothing, gifts, music and inspiration for children, families and anyone who believes that a little more kindness can make the world a happier place.

The Hapkinful Story

Hapkinful grew from three little words and one simple idea — that happiness, kindness and gratitude can make a difference to the way we experience life and the way we treat the people around us.

Happiness doesn't have to come from having more.

Kindness doesn't have to be a grand gesture.

And gratitude can often be found in the smallest of moments.

A smile. A helping hand. A conversation with a stranger. Watching a sunset. Discovering somewhere new. Or simply stopping long enough to appreciate where we are and the people sharing the journey with us.

That is the Hapkinful way.

My Story

Hello, I'm Julia Hapkinful, the creator of Hapkinful.

Before Hapkinful, much of my working life was spent caring for others. I worked as a midwife in Britain and later as a Labor & Delivery nurse in the United States.

I am also a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and family has always been an enormous part of my life.

But another great love has always been travel.

I have long believed that travelling isn't simply about seeing famous places. It is about meeting people, discovering different cultures, tasting unfamiliar foods, hearing people's stories and realising just how much we all have in common.

Then, in 2023, I decided to do something rather extraordinary.

I packed my bags and set off alone on a nine-month journey through Europe.

I wasn't simply travelling from place to place. I wanted to understand more about happiness, kindness and gratitude.

And somewhere along the way, Hapkinful began to grow.

What I Discovered Along the Way....

Travelling slowly gave me time to notice things.

Not only beautiful buildings, historic landmarks and spectacular landscapes, but people.

There were strangers who helped me when I was lost. People who shared conversations over coffee. People who offered directions, encouragement and friendship.

There were unexpected moments of kindness that cost nothing but meant everything.

I began to realise that some of the most memorable moments of travelling weren't necessarily the places marked on the map.

They were the human moments in between.

Those experiences became part of the philosophy behind Hapkinful.

Happiness can be discovered.
Kindness can be shared.
Gratitude can be practised.

And wherever we are in the world, we can always leave a little kindness behind us.


From one conversation on a mountainside, a little heart became part of the Hapkinful story.


And from that little heart, a whole world of happiness, kindness and adventure began to grow.

More Than Books...

Hapkinful began with a simple idea, but it has grown into something much bigger.

Today, the Hapkinful world brings together books, travel stories, journals, clothing, gifts, puzzles, music and collections inspired by happiness, kindness and gratitude.

Some are playful. Some are thoughtful. Some celebrate travel, family, seasons and special occasions. Others simply carry a little reminder that might brighten someone's day.

But everything has the same heart and the same purpose — to encourage us to find happiness in everyday life, share kindness wherever we can and remember to be grateful for the journey.
